Weddings Situated on the edge of the magnificent Chatsworth Estate, this stunning Derbyshire manor house with its beautiful private grounds lends itself admirably to stylish wedding receptions. We are a licenced venue for civil and partnership ceremonies. We have a wedding licence to hold Marriage Ceremonies within Baslow Hall for between 2-38 guests. The picture above shows how we prepare the Drawing Room for a Ceremony for approximately 20 guests with some seating and other guests standing. For 38 guests, we set the room out with a maximum of 10 chairs with other guests standing. There are two other rooms licenced for Ceremonies - The Oak Panelled Hall and The Study.  This picture shows a Bride and her Father leaving one of our bedrooms to walk down to the Drawing Room for her Wedding Ceremony. We have a choice of bedrooms which are ideal for the Bride, Bridesmaids and other guests to stay the night before the Wedding.  Wedding Parties generally have exclusive use of our extensive grounds for photographs and for enjoying canapes and champagne following the Ceremony. All that we ask is that children are supervised by an adult whilst in the garden. For a day-time Wedding, please be aware that as a general rule the house must be vacated by 5.00pm. Evening celebrations can be held here, but normally entails hiring the house and all 11 bedrooms on an 'exclusive use' basis. Please ask for our Exclusive Use Leaflet or download a copy on this site. Our day-time menu prices for 2008 are £44 and £49 to include your chosen 3 course meal and coffee. The room hire fee for marriage ceremonies ranges from £175 - £250 dependent on numbers. We have several dates still available April - October 2009 for exclusive use weddings on Fridays and Sundays as well as Saturday daytime weddings.
