Malissa’s first love was horses, and her degree is in Equine Sports Science and Psychology from Nottingham University.

Her plans to pursue a career in equine physiotherapy were thwarted by the recession, and a holiday job at a local Bakewell pub led to Malissa joining Fischer’s in 2012.

She has worked in all the Front of House departments, including restaurant, housekeeping and reception, which she joined full-time in 2015, working as Assistant Marketing and Events Manager.

In 2016, Malissa was promoted to Front Office Manager and assumed full responsibility for marketing Fischer’s. She manages our Reception team, four fantastic, smiling ladies who are the first people who welcome you to Fischer’s.

Malissa says she if she were to come to Fischer’s for dinner, her aperitif of choice would always be Robin of Locksley Gin (distilled in Sheffield) and Fevertree tonic.
