Christmas at Baslow Hall
For many of you, part of the pre-Christmas ritual most certainly must include a visit to Baslow Hall. It might be for a family party, a business event, a romantic meal for two or a luxury overnight stay.
Whatever the reason, we know that you come to savour the relaxed, unhurried atmosphere, the open log fire and the very best of winter cooking.
You may also know that Max, Rupert and the brigade are not fans of turkey! They prefer to cook their normal styles of menus based on seasonal ingredients with a hint of festive touches where appropriate. Our menus throughout December will feature our renowned Baslow Goose with all the trimmings amongst Game and other Seasonal dishes together with Christmas Pudding and other favourite desserts.
December Diary Dates
Festive Lunches: From Saturday 27th November – Friday 24th December
Our Festive Lunch Menu will be offered Tuesday to Sunday from Saturday 27th November. A sample menu will be available from October and will offer seasonal food including Pheasant and Christmas Pudding. Our renowned Goose with traditional trimmings will only be available on Sundays. Goose supplement of £7.50 will apply.
The menu price is £38 and we require a non-refundable £10 deposit per person for weekend reservations (Saturday & Sunday) at the time of booking. Unfortunately we are not taking any more bookings on Saturday 18th December.
Please note we are closed every Monday lunchtime.
Dinner: Monday to Saturday
We offer three different menus in the evening:
Gourmet Dinner Menu: £72
Prestige ‘Tasting’ Menu: £68
Menu du Jour: 2 courses for £43 and 3 courses for £48 (Monday to Friday only)
Christmas Opening Times
Christmas Eve: Open for Lunch only. We are serving our Festive Lunch Menu including coffee & petits fours at £38 per person. We require a non-refundable £10 deposit per person at the time of booking. Please note we are closed in the evening.
Christmas Day: Closed
Boxing Day: Closed
We re-open on Monday 27th December at 3 p.m.
New Years Eve: Open for Lunch only. We are serving a 3 course lunch followed by coffee & petits fours at £38 per person. We require a non-refundable £10 deposit per person at the time of booking. Please note we are closed in the evening.
New Years Day: Our celebratory lunch is available from 12 noon until 2.00 p.m. As usual, we are offering canapes on arrival, 3 course lunch and coffee & petits fours at £55 per person. We require full payment at the time of booking. We are open in the evening for our usual dinner service.
Please note that we are CLOSED on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Eve evening.
Our sister restaurant ‘Rowleys‘ in Baslow Village (www.rowleysrestaurant.co.uk) will be open throughout the festive period where you will be assured of a warm welcome.
