Welcome to Fischer’s Baslow Hall
A very warm welcome to Fischer’s Baslow Hall, our award winning, individual, stylish, boutique country house hotel and restaurant.
The location could hardly be more stunning. A Grade 2 listed, stone-built manor house standing on the edge of Baslow, a picturesque village, with the glorious countryside of the Peak District, its iconic walks and rich cultural heritage all on our doorstep.
But it is Fischer’s food that has made us famous; brilliant dishes, imaginative execution, attention to detail, the finest ingredients and constantly striving to be the best.
Our award-winning Head Chef, Rupert Rowley, joined us in 2002 as a young sous chef. Originally working alongside Max, he has been in full-charge of the Fischer’s kitchen for the last 15 years.
Rupert’s culinary style, rooted in classical French cuisine, constantly evolves, embracing cutting edge techniques and modern ingredients. Ably supported by the young, enthusiastic kitchen crew, his innovative dishes take full advantage of fantastic, fresh, seasonal Derbyshire and British produce.
Many of the vegetables and herbs Rupert uses are grown in Baslow Hall’s lovingly tended kitchen garden.
Fischer’s is always professional yet relaxed and friendly, a home from home where you can enjoy being pampered and refreshed; a roaring log fire in the lounge for wintery days, or stunning landscaped gardens to make the most of an English summer evening.
We have eleven luxurious bedrooms, individually styled with a unique character. Smooth Egyptian cotton bedding, sumptuous white towels and robes, gorgeous toiletries all help enhance your feelings of indulgence and relaxation.
And whether you come to stay overnight or join us for an exquisite Michelin star dining experience in superb surroundings, you will always be a most welcome guest.
